Thanksgiving

Well, Thanksgiving is over and Its back to work. I had a great holiday. I finished the bathroom and decorated the house for Christmas. Mike and Kim and the kids came from TN and stay a couple nights with me. We spent thanksgiving day at Memaw and Poppy's visiting with all my siblings. My niece and nephew from SC surprised everyone and showed up for lunch, it was great to see everyone. Mike, Matt and myself played golf on Friday.... lets just say we attempted to play golf. Matt went looking for his golf ball and found a snake, so he didn't go looking for anymore balls in the tall grass. But we did have a great time. Mike and I spent Saturday at my house watching college football. So now I am back to work and trying to plan for Christmas. Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.

Working hard

So I have been busy with work and spending my weekends either working for my cousins Videography business filiming weddings or working on the house. I did get away one weekend to Bentonville to visit my friends Adam and Erin and Cole. Erins friend Jenn came over with her little girl Brogan and we spent the day hanging out playing Wii and board games. It was alot of fun to catch up. On the house front I finished putting in all the windows on the house and for the past month have been working on fixing up my bathroom. I tore out the drywall and put in all new and laid a slate floor and installed a new toilet. So now I am planning on trying to enjoy the rest of my thanksgiving vacation. Here a some pics of the new bathroom, the first three are what it used to look like.

Busy Weekend.

So this was a very busy weekend for me. I started by putting in 3 more windows to finish off the front of the house with new windows. I am down to only 3 more to go. I also cleaned th siding on the front of the house, I didnt realize how dirty it was.
Saturday I went to Liberty University for our game against Stony Brook. Sherri, Allen and Zak went also. We had a blast at the game, we had front row 50 yard line seats. We spent the night and went to Thomas Road Baptist Church the next morning. On our way home we stopped to visit Allens Uncle John. It was a great weekend but very exhausting.

Day 2 update.

Ok so i bit the bullet today and decided to replace the living room windows. Nothing is ever simple. Before i moved in there was rote in the sill on one window. The contractor was suppose to fix it and he did, but not a good job. I basically had to spend today replacing the entire sill before i could install the first new window. I did get it finished and the new window in. Now I will just need to paint, and then this saturday I will install the other 2 windows in the living room. here are some pictures for you enjoyment.... (look at that 2 post in 2 days.. .impressive)

September weekends

So I have been working around the house on weekends trying to make it look a little better. My first project was to put in a new mailbox. My old one was grey and rusty. I believe in not wasting so I saved the post, it didnt like that good, but I scrubbed the wood clean of all the moss that had been growing on it and then stained it. My other project is a on going one. I am replacing all the window in the house. Due to financial constrants (windows are expensive :) ) I am trying to do one or two at a time. I replaced the kitchen window this weekend. Work is busy as usual and getting more each day. I have my first meeting with a technology council for the Virginia Innovation Index. The goal it to get feed back from the regions and then develop and index that can be used as a tool to help make each region in thier quest to make virginia better.
I hope everyone is happy now that I have given 2 updates in one month.. haha :)

Update of things

Well things are just the same old same old. I am still working for CIT as a research analyst. I have been placed on the team to work to develop Virginia's Innovation Index. I have been very busy lately with this my desk is usally covered with paper and notebooks. Not much going on at the house, Its amazing what a much needed rain will do. Below are 2 pictures only about 10 days apart of my front lawn. I was trying to water it but was having only small gains. Then we got a few days of rain and now my whole yard is looking lush and green again. I have been picking and eating my sweet corn and the watermelon is getting closer to being done. I hope everyone else is doing great here are some pictures.

Things have been crazy lately. Here is an update. I had to work at my second job videoing weddings this weekend down in Chesapeake Va. So I spent Friday night and Saturday night at Kim and Mats on the river. I rode in the tube with Kenny, Abbie, and Judson. It was a great time. Things continue to grow at the house. Some of the corn is about chest high now. Enjoy the pictures below.
